2008 TEAM CLASSIFICATION, SCHEDULES AND TOURNAMENTS - Approved for 2008 season - Revised 2-29-08

1. In order to be considered for boys post-season tournament play, a team must play a majority of other WVSLA members. Since there are ten (10) teams, a majority is six (6).
2. In order to be considered for girls post-season tournament play, a team must play all other WVSLA members once. The first game played vs. an opponent is the one that counts in the standings, unless both teams agree before the contest to use another game.
3. All games versus WVSLA teams must be played by May 3, 2008
4. The playoffs will be comprised of a final four, or semifinal, to be played at the home of the higher seed. The boys semifinal games will be played on May 10. The girls semifinal games will be played on May 8 or May 9.
5. The WVSLA Boys & Girls Championship games will be played May 17, 2008 between the winners of the semifinal games at the home of the higher seed.
6. WVSLA boys team dues for 2008 will be $200.00 to cover playoff expenses.
7. WVSLA girls team dues for 2008 will be $300.00 to cover playoff expenses.

2009 TEAM CLASSIFICATION, SCHEDULES AND TOURNAMENTS - Approved for 2009 season

1. In order to be considered for boys post-season tournament play, a team must play a majority of other WVSLA members one time. Since there are eleven (11) teams, the majority is six (6).
2. In order to be considered for girls post-season tournament play, a team must play all other WVSLA members twice, once home and once away.
3. All games versus WVSLA teams must be played by May 3, 2009. Reminder that some teams cannot play on a Sunday.
4. The boys playoffs will be comprised of a quarterfinal, final four, or semifinal, to be played at the home of the higher seed. The boys quarterfinal games will be played on May 5 or 6. The boys semifinal games should be played on May 9 at the home of the higher seed. May 8 is the alternate date if necessary.
5. The girls playoffs will be comprised of a final four, or semifinal, to be played at the home of the higher seed. The girls semifinal games should be played May 9 at the home of the higher seed. May 6, 7 , and 8 are alternate dates if necessary.- Revised Dec. 7, 2008 when the girls coaches met to schedule. Girls teams would have a six team playoff like the boys.
6. The WVSLA Boys & Girls Championship games will be played May 16, 2009 between the winners of the semifinal games at the home of the higher seed. - Revised 3-20-09  boys & girls championship games to be held at East West Stadium, Fairmont.
7. WVSLA boys team dues for 2009 will be $200.00. They will be payable at a later date.
8. WVSLA girls team dues for 2009 will be $200.00. They will be payable at a later date.
9. The membership agreed to accept any new teams up until the season starts. If they are able to schedule and complete the required number of games, they can be accepted as full members, otherwise they will be associates.

2010 TEAM CLASSIFICATION, SCHEDULES AND TOURNAMENTS - Approved for 2010 season

1. In order to be considered for boys post-season tournament play, a team must play a minimum of six (6) games versus six different WVSLA teams..
2. In order to be considered for girls post-season tournament play, a team must play all other WVSLA members twice, once home and once away.
3. All games versus WVSLA teams must be played by May 2, 2010. Reminder that some teams cannot play on a Sunday.
4. The boys and girls playoffs will be comprised of a six team playoff with quarterfinals, semifinal, and championship.
       Quarterfinal games should be played on Saturday, May 8 at the home of the higher seed. The alternate date is Friday, May 7.
       Semifinal games should be played on May 15 at the home of the higher seed. The alternate date is Friday, May 14.
       Boys and girls championship games will be Saturday, May 22 at the same site, Bridgeport's Wayne Jamison Field.
5. The WVSLA will host a boys Blue-Gold All Star game along with the championship games. All Stars will be picked from a compilation of the "Notable Opponents" entered by coaches on their game reports. Should a player be unable to attend, the head coach will select his replacement.
6. WVSLA boys and girls team dues for 2010 will remain $200.00. They will be payable at a later date.
7. The membership agreed to accept any new teams up until the season starts as associate members. They will be able to schedule games with member teams but not be eligible for the playoffs.

3. All games versus WVSLA teams must be played by May 1, 2011. Reminder that some teams cannot play on a Sunday.

4. The boys playoffs will be comprised of an eight team playoff and girls playoffs will be comprised of a six team playoff with quarterfinals, semifinal, and championship.
       Quarterfinal games should be played on Saturday, May 5 at the home of the higher seed. The alternate date is Friday, May 4.
       Semifinal games should be played on May 12 at the home of the higher seed. The alternate date is Friday, May 11.
       Boys and girls championship games will be Saturday, May 19 at the same site, East West Stadium, Fairmont.

2. In order to be considered for boys post-season tournament play, Division 1 teams must play a minimum of eight (8) games; every team in their division (six games) plus two different WVSLA Division 2 teams. Division 2 teams must play a minimum of eight (8) games in their division.
3. In order to be considered for girls post-season tournament play, a team must play all other WVSLA members twice, once home and once away, twelve (12) games..
4. All BOYS games versus WVSLA teams must be played by April 27, 2014. Reminder that some teams cannot play on a Sunday.
5. The BOYS playoffs will be comprised of an six team playoff in each division with quarterfinals, semifinal, and championship.
       Quarterfinal games should be played on Saturday, May 3 at the home of the higher seed. The alternate date is Friday, May 2.
       Semifinal games should be played on May 10 at the home of the higher seed. The alternate date is Friday, May 9.
