Kanawha Valley began as a team with Herbert Hoover students
as a nucleus.
The Herbert Hoover team had limited support from the school, so they
decided to reorganize as the Kanawha Valley Spartans.
This will allow them to continue playing lacrosse and attract players
from area schools that do not have teams.
The players hope to return lacrosse to Herbert Hoover High School
someday.

*When the 2018 season ended coaches of the Saint Albans team reported that there would be no team for the 2019 season.
These players, thinking there would be no SA team, participated in practices and fundraisers for the KV team. Unknown to them,
much later, a local teacher kept the Saint Albans team going. These players were allowed to continue with KV.
